Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC)
2. In large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy
3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract
4. In separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt
5. Gradually blend dry ingredients into creamed mixture
6. Fold in chocolate chips
7. Drop rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing 2 inches apart
8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around edges
9. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire rack
10. Store in airtight container

Chef's Notes
For chewier cookies, slightly underbake. For crispier cookies, bake a minute longer. Dough can be chilled for thicker cookies.
